Petroleum product Karl Fischer moisture analyzer MKC-710M/MKC-710S/MKC-710B

Method Summary
Add a certain amount of sample to the titration cell of the Karl Fischer coulomb apparatus, and the iodine generated by the anode of the titration cell reacts with the water in the sample in a 1:1 ratio according to the stoichiometry of the reaction. After all the water in the titration cell is consumed, the titrator detects the electrical signal generated by excess iodine to determine the endpoint of the titration and terminate the titration. Therefore, according to Faraday's law, the amount of water titrated is proportional to the total integrated current.
The unit of measurement for sample injection volume can be either a mass unit or a volume unit.
Samples with high viscosity or interference reactions can be measured using a moisture evaporator. Add the sample to a moisture evaporator and heat it. The evaporated water is carried into a Karl Fischer titration cell by a dry carrier gas for titration analysis.
